COMPUTER
HISTORY
Computer: Machine capable of performing a sequence of
operations by a program, so that processing is performed on a set of input
data, resulting in another set of output data.
Types
of computer
Ø Analog computer: is a form of
computer that uses the continuously changeable aspects of physical phenomena
such as electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic quantities to model the problem
being solved.
GENERATIONS
Ø First Generation: 1937-1946-
in 1937 the first electronic digital computer was built by Dr. John V.
Atanasoff and Clifford Berry. It was called the Atanasoff-Berry computer (ABC).
In 1943 an electronic computer name the colossus was built for the military.
Ø Second Generation: 1947-1962-
This generation of computers used transistor instead of vacuum tubes which were
more reliable. In 1951 the first computer for commercial used was introduced to
public; the Universal Automatic Computer (UNIVAC).
Ø Third Generation: 1963-present-
The invention of integrated circuit brought us the third generation of
computers. Which this invention computer became smaller, more powerful more
reliable and they are able to run many different programs at the same time.
Ø Four Generation:
Microprocessors appear to be breakthrough in microelectronic, integrated
circuits are high density and with impressive speed.
Ø Fifth Generation: Japan launched
in 1983 called “agenda of the fifth generation of computers”, with the explicit
goals of producing machines with real innovations in above criteria. And in
United States and is active in developing a program similar objectives.
EVOLUTION
OF THE WEB
The web today is a growing universe of interlinked web
apps, teeming with videos, photos, and interactive contact. What the average
user doesn't see is the interplay of web technology and browsers that makes all
this possible.
Kind
of web:
Ø Web
1.0: Basic Internet
Ø Web
2.0: The Social Network of Collaboration
Ø Web
3.0: The Semantic Network
Ø Web
4.0: The Mobile Network
Ø Web
5.0: The Sensory Emotional Network
